When a Kuwait brand needs a voice clone, not a stock read
Consultancy questions for the ‘this person’s voice, with consent, on more reads’ job — rights, a sample, and when a hired session is still cheaper.
The job is a voice you can name. The founder, the talent, the brand reader — same timbre on a new line, with a consent file you can show.
Teams ask for “AI voice.” That is a catalog. A clone is whether this specific person said yes, and whether a new sentence still sounds like them on a phone speaker.
What we decide on a first call
Who owns the voice. Whether you have a clean sample, not a Zoom rip. What the clone is allowed to say, and what it must never invent (a price, a medical claim, a promise). Who signs each new read. Whether you need a watermark or a usage log.
If the person has not agreed in writing, we stop. That is not a model problem.
If consent is real and the stall is more reads than you can book, AI voice generation can mean a clone with a refuse list — not a random stock voice on every cut. We will say when the sample is too thin. We will not promise the founder from a voicemail.
This is not a course voiceover from a locked script. That job can hire a reader. A clone starts from one throat you already sold. It is also not a dub of a master take. Dubbing keeps the picture and changes the language. A clone keeps the person and writes a new line.
When we tell you to book the booth
If the next line is a legal read, or the talent contract forbids a synthetic double, pay for the hour. If you only need three spots this year, a session is still the honest spend.
Kuwait and GCC brands often want Gulf Arabic on air and English in the deck. That is two clones or two sessions. It is not “make it bilingual” as a toggle.
AI consultancy writes the consent, the sample, and the refuse list first. A library of reads comes after one person says the new line is still them.
